If you’re worried you’ll feel awkward, swollen, or unsure how to pose—please know this is so normal. Most mothers I photograph arrive with a mix of excitement and vulnerability. That’s why my sessions are fully guided and unhurried.
Since 2005, I’ve developed a step-by-step process to help people feel comfortable in front of the camera. By booking The Imagery Studio, you’ll receive a detailed prep guide so you feel ready. During your session, I’ll coach you through flattering, natural posing and help you create a look that feels like you—whether that’s soft and minimal, romantic and flowing, or bold and artistic.
It’s my job to make you look amazing. You just get to show up and breathe.

What should I wear?
There is a wide variety of looks that will look great depending on what your objectives are. Automatically upon booking, you will receive a Style Guide to help you prepare for the session. You can also schedule a 15 min call if you need to chat before booking. The Studio has a lot of different fabrics to capture the artistic look that you see on our portfolio.
02. I am NOT photogenic, can you help?
You don’t need to. I’ll guide you through flattering posing, hands placement, angles, and expression step-by-step, so you feel supported and your portraits look effortless. It’s MY JOB to bring the best to the these portraits, using the posing coaching, angles and lighting you will feel and look very photogenic!
03. When should I book my maternity session?
Most mothers love the timing between 28–32 weeks, when your belly is beautifully rounded and you’re typically still comfortable enough to enjoy the session.
04. Can my partner or kids be included?
Absolutely. We can capture a few connection portraits with your partner and/or children, then focus on you for the remainder.
05. Is retouching included?
YES! All ordered images include retouching. My retouching is done very naturally to displayed the rested version of you. Common things I touch up are: facial blemishes, soften bags under eyes, soften wrinkles, white teeth. You can always let me know of your concern prior to our session.
06. Where do the sessions take place?
All maternity sessions are photographed in my private studio in Worcester, MA, with controlled lighting designed for fine-art, sculpted, flattering images.
